This policy describes how Ladric handles personal data for the mobile application, https://ladric.com (including the marketing site and newsletter), and associated services (the “Services”). It is not legal advice; have it reviewed by qualified counsel for your jurisdiction and actual practices.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and your choices and rights. Read it together with our Terms of Service, Cookie Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy.

1. Who we are
Ladric provides sport groups, ladders, match reporting, and related social features.
For data protection purposes, the controller (or “business”) responsible for personal data is [Insert legal entity name, address, and registration if applicable]. Until you add an entity, you may describe the operator as “the Ladric team” and still use support@ladric.com for requests.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to personal information processed in connection with the Services. It does not apply to third-party sites or services that we do not control (for example app stores or social networks you link to).
3. Information we collect
3.1 You provide
- Account & profile: user ID, email (if you register with email), authentication tokens, display name, avatar, optional profile fields (e.g. sports, region, availability).
- Sign-in partners: if you use Google Sign-In or Apple (or similar), we receive identifiers and, depending on your choices, name and email as permitted by that provider.
- Support: information you send to support@ladric.com or in-app feedback.
- Payments (if applicable): subscription or purchase metadata (product ID, status, timestamps). Apple and Google process payments; we do not receive your full card number.
3.2 Generated through use of the Services
- Sport & competitive data: groups you join or create, ladder standings, ELO or ratings, matches you report or confirm, challenges, achievements.
- Social features (if enabled): follows, invitations, messages, or other connections.
- Location: approximate or precise device location if you grant permission (e.g. match context, optional verification). We may derive labels (e.g. city-level) via geocoding. You can withdraw permission in device settings; some features may be limited.
- Device & technical: device type, OS, app version, language, time zone, connectivity; diagnostics or crash data if enabled; push notification tokens (e.g. Firebase Cloud Messaging) when you opt in.
- Usage: feature usage, logs needed for security and operations.
3.3 Cookies and similar technologies (web)
The marketing site may use cookies or similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy at https://ladric.com/cookies/.
3.4 Marketing newsletter (website)
If you subscribe on ladric.com, we collect your email and consent to send occasional updates. Delivery and list management may be processed by Mailtrap (Email Marketing / contacts) on our instructions. You can unsubscribe using the link in those emails, via https://ladric.com/unsubscribe/, or by contacting support@ladric.com.
3.5 From others
We may receive information from service providers, analytics partners (if used), or other users (e.g. when they invite you or interact with your profile).
4. How we use information
We use personal information to:
Accounts, authentication, groups, ladders, matches, challenges, notifications.
Detect abuse, false results, fraud; enforce Terms and Acceptable Use Policy.
Debugging, aggregate analytics, feature development.
Service messages, support replies, marketing only with consent where required.
Comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights.
Legal bases (e.g. contract, consent, legitimate interests, legal obligation) depend on your region—map with counsel.
Automated decisions: We do not use solely automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you without appropriate safeguards where required by law. Adjust this if you add automated moderation or ranking with legal effect.
Artificial intelligence: If you use ML/AI, describe features, data used, and opt-out or human review where applicable. If not used, state clearly that you do not use AI for profiling decisions described here.
6. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object, portability, withdraw consent, and to complain to a supervisory authority.
Exercise rights: email support@ladric.com from the address associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity.
Marketing: unsubscribe via email links, the unsubscribe page, or by contacting us.
Account deletion: [Describe in-app flow or support process.] Some information may be retained where law requires or for legitimate interests (e.g. fraud prevention), as explained in Retention.
7. Security
We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk (e.g. encryption in transit such as TLS, access controls, reputable cloud providers). No method is 100% secure.
8. Retention
We retain information as long as needed to provide the Services and for the purposes in this Policy, unless a longer period is required by law. Examples to finalize with counsel:
- Account: until deletion or termination (subject to legal holds).
- Match / ladder history: may be kept for integrity and disputes.
- Logs: limited retention where possible.
9. International transfers
Providers may process data in the EU, US, or other regions. If you offer the Services in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, use appropriate transfer tools (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses) as required—document in your DPAs.
10. Children’s privacy
The Services are not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. Contact support@ladric.com if you believe we have.

12. Notice for certain US states (template)
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (e.g. California, Colorado, Virginia—list as counsel advises) may have additional rights, including to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale/sharing for targeted advertising, and to appeal denials.
Categories collected: Identifiers, commercial information (if purchases), internet activity, geolocation (if used), and other categories reflected in Section 3.

13. Changes
