Natasha D'Schommer is a photographer in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she concentrates on still life, landscape and portraiture. She opened her studio in 1998 after six years as a freelance photojournalist.
D'Schommer is a 2005 recipient of the McKnight Photography Fellowship and a recipient of a Jerome Foundation grant.
A book, Biblio, featuring D'Schommer's rare book and musical manuscript photographs from the Scheide Library was published by Princeton University in 2008. In this extensive photo essay, D'Schommer offers an intimate look at previously unphotographed rare manuscripts, among them Beethoven's sketchbooks, the Gutenberg Bible, J.S. Bach Cantata No. 33, and Emily Dickinson's chocolate recipe.
D'Schommer earned an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts and a B.A from New England College in West Sussex, England.
